In June this year, another building has been added to the amazing constructions of Dubai. This is Muhammad Bin Rashid Library which has been built in the form of books and one billion dirhams has been spent on the seven-storey library.
The 54,000 square feet library has 11 lakh paper and digital books while its building looks like an open book from the outside.
The library has valuable books, magazines and rare books on all kinds of subjects. Thus, a total of nine libraries are included in one library. Despite all this, entry is absolutely free and there is a whole floor of digital and original books for children.
The library has more than 5,000 books and journals dating back hundreds of years that reflect the history and culture of the region. On the lowest floor there is a library for children aged 5 to 11 where iPads can be used for free and there are several humanoid robots that guide the children.
For fast convenience in the library, you can order books from the app and upon request for a book, one of the five high-speed robots quickly starts its work and takes the desired book and puts it in a crate that slides on special tracks and reaches you. goes
Historical maps, books and other manuscripts of Dubai and the UAE are also housed here, making the library a museum. Despite all this, the library is still under construction and the thousands of books in store will soon be brought here.
