Amazon is not benefiting the people of Pakistan properly
Social media influencer Hisham Sarwar talks about Made in Pakistan eCommerce portal and got huge appreciation for his idea at the Convention center Islamabad. He thinks that Amazon is not benefiting the people of Pakistan properly and therefore another platform is much needed to fulfill the digital marketing needs of Pakistani people.
A digital e-commerce summit was held by Enablers at the Jinnah convention center Islamabad on 16 October 2022. Hisham Sarwar, the Co-founder of WorkChest, Pakistan’s first and largest freelance marketplace with over 100k users, expressed his thoughts that Amazon is not an ideal platform for Pakistan. “Made in Pakistan” was trending on top on Twitter on 14 august in this regard. Hisham Sarwar is also the founder of Being Guru, a digital platform exclusively for freelancers.
Hisham Sarwar thinks that Amazon has not worked for Pakistanis and therefore the chances of its success in the future are also less. Hence we need a portal that is made in Pakistan and is totally for the needs of Pakistani sellers. We should launch such a portal that fulfills the needs of current Pakistani digital marketing needs of Pakistani people while at the same time enabling them to export their materials to the rest of the world.
